A large tray containing dried vermicelli noodles. Place the dish on a heatproof tray. Peel the corner of the lid and pour water from a boiled kettle into the tray to cover the noodles. Leave in a safe place to soften for ten minutes, and then very carefully discard the water. Use clean kitchen scissors to cut the cooked noodles to the desired length.
